Our septic inspections have flat rate pricing, which means there are no hidden fees or additional costs, and is an all-inclusive price, which means our inspections include:

-Electronic locating of the septic tank
-Labor to dig down to the tank openings
-Pumping and disposal of seepage from the tank
-Inspection of the interior of the tank, including the baffles, lids, and cleaning of the filter
-Inspection of the flow from the tank to the disposal area
-Back fill area where septic tank openings were exposed - restoring lawns and landscaping to as close to pre-digging condition as possible
-One year supply of septic tank bacteria additive
-Completion of the seven page ADEQ Report of Inspection paperwork, map of the septic area and two page Notice of Transfer documents

Don't be fooled by other companies who say that they can do a septic inspection without pumping the tank! The tank must be pumped or have been pumped within the last 6 months in order to do a thorough septic inspection.  Baffles can not be inspected underneath the scum layer that forms in a septic tank. Leaching flow can not be tested without the addition of water to the tank.

Any reputable company in the Phoenix area will do a full inspection, including pumping. If pumping is an option, be skeptical! We correct "$300 inspections" all week long, so be sure to do your homework before just going with the cheapest price.

Tips for maintaining a healthy septic tank

What gets flushed can have a much greater impact on the health of your septic tank and plumbing than you may think! Here are a few reminders that can help you maintain a healthy septic tank:

The flushing of common products down the toilet or drains can clog pipes, causing your septic tank to back up. Avoid flushing:
-Baby wipes
-Clorox Wipes
-Coffee grounds
-Cigarette butts
-Paper towels/cotton swabs
-Cat litter
-Feminine hygiene products

It is also important to know that it is necessary for your septic tank to contain a colony of healthy bacteria.  This bacteria helps to break down solids, preventing extreme build up that could clog drain field lines. Household cleaners and other chemicals that commonly get flushed down the toilet or drains can destroy this healthy bacteria. Some examples of these are:
-Household chemicals
-Grease/Oil
-Paint
-Pesticides
-Gasoline, Antifreeze, etc

If you haven't kept an eye out for these things in the past, don't worry, it's not too late! Our 1 year supply of septic bacteria additive can help to rebuild the colony of healthy bacteria. Just drop a packet in the toilet once a month, wait for it to dissolve, and flush. It's as simple as that! Contact us today or check out our website for more information: www.emergencypumping.com
