With all of the recent Monsoon activity here in the Phoenix Valley, many of you may have ended up with a parking lot or two that ended up looking like a lake more than a lot. Don't get down, it happened to a lot of folks. But we can help you out to make sure that you don't have that issue in the future.
Parking lot dry wells, yes that hole in the asphalt with the grate over top, is designed to alleviate the excess water and prevent flooding. Dry wells work very well when they have been properly maintained. When they haven't been cleaned or already have standing water in them, they cannot do their job.
We offer complete parking lot dry well rehab to solve your issue. We can pump and clean them out, replace mats or filters and get you back to normal in no time!

following services:
electronic
locating of the septic tank,
labor to dig
down to tank openings,
pumping and
disposal of seepage from the tank,
inspection of
the interior of the tank including the baffles, lids and cleaning of the filter,
inspection of
the flow from the tank to the disposal area,

landscaping to as close to pre-digging condition as possible,
one

completion
of the seven page ADEQ Report of Inspection paperwork, map of the septic area
and two page Notice of Transfer documents.
Don’t be deceived by
contractors or companies stating that they can give you a thorough inspection
without digging up and/or pumping the septic tank. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. In order to properly inspect the septic tank, the
tank must be empty or has been recently pumped (within the last 6 months).
Baffles cannot be inspected underneath the scum layer that forms in a septic
tank. Leaching flow cannot be tested without the addition of water to the
tank.
Any reputable company in the Phoenix
area will do a full inspection, including pumping. If pumping is an option in
your inspection, be SKEPTICAL. We correct “$300 inspection services” all week
long so be sure to do your homework before just selecting the cheapest price.

Got Grease Traps/Interceptors??
There’s nothing better than the
warm crunchy goodness of deep fried Turkey drumstick or a heaping pile of
french fries…hot out of the deep fryer!
There is NO denying…people love deep fried foods. There are TV shows highlighting it and booths
are fairs dedicated to it. There is only
one thing that is more important than the taste, the texture or the CRUNCH of
it. Maintenance. HUH?
Yep, that’s exactly what I said.
The recent popularity of deep
fried foods has undoubtedly triggered an increase in the use of restaurants
deep fryers. Along with that increase
comes the need to set up a “Preventative Maintenance” schedule, to maintain those
Grease Traps and Interceptors. You might
be wondering, “Is there a standard for maintenance scheduling?” Well, it’s a good question…and I’m glad you
asked! Below is some great information, recommendations and the “Do’s and Don’ts”.
DO:
- Maintain all maintenance and service/repair records – for a minimum of 3yrs
- Make sure that all your Employees understand how to handle food and grease waste – which includes removing all waste from cookware, dishes, and equipment before washing
- Set up a preventative maintenance schedule for your Trap or Interceptor – to include regular cleanings
DON’T:
- Never wait until your Trap or Interceptor is overflowing with waste to have it cleaned out
- Dumping Chemicals into the Drain is a big no-no
- Disposing of grease/oil into the Sewer Drain is never a good idea
- Never clean equipment where grease or food waste cam flow into drywell or drains
You might wonder what your Waste
Hauler does for cleaning your Grease Trap or Interceptor. Professionals like Emergency Pumping and Plumbing Service will pump out the entire Trap/Interceptor – which includes
removal of all debris and residual wastes.
After its empty, they can verify that all piping and other fittings and parts are in good
condition.
If you have any questions about
your Grease Trap or Interceptor, give us a call – or visit our Website! We’re always happy to help.
Until next time…HAPPY FRYING!!!

Your Septic System has needs too!!!
Everyone and everything has needs. Your boss wants you to return all those phone
calls and make sure all your paperwork is in order. Your kids...well...if they're anything like
mine...they want you to pick up their favorite pizza for dinner...and...well...they
want it ALL! Kidding. Or, am I?
Anyway, back to the subject at hand.
Just like everything else, your Septic System has needs.
Like taking the time to fine tune your car, your
system needs a little TLC too! Here's
some things to keep in mind when dealing with your Septic System:
- Use water efficiently. Fix leaky faucets and toilets. And, try not to overload your system by doing multiple loads of laundry, one after the other. This can be harmful to the delicate balance of healthy bacteria in your tank. I know what you're thinking..."You ALREADY talked about this"...but, it's SUPER important. And, if you missed it, check out this Blog.
- Use those household cleaning products in moderation. Things like tub and shower cleaners, anti-bacterial soaps, and detergents can also take its toll on that hard-working bacteria colony! So, you're wondering...what's a good option then? I'm glad you asked! Baking Soda is a great option. Try it out!
- Be sure to keep all the records on your Septic System in order. Make sure you have information on the installation and permits issued. If you don’t have copies available…try County Records! Even pumping records and repair information, can be good information as well.
- Schedule your routine pumping every 3-5 years. Periodic pumping is an effective way to ensure the system is working properly and help it to provide you MANY years of service.
- Know where your Septic System is. Create a sketch or ask your Septic Pumping Company to make one for you. Give us a call for your next pumping service, and we will gladly make one for you!
- Plant only grass over, around or near your Septic System. Roots for nearby trees/bushes can invade your tank and drainfield. Avoid parking vehicles in the area as well. This can compact the soil or even crush pipes.
- Be sure that when you have your system inspected that it's done by a licensed inspector...like us!
Give us a call or visit our Website. We would be happy to answer any of your
Septic or Plumbing questions. Our
trained professionals are here for you!
